For five years (1995-2000), it was our pleasure to make the Albuquerque Journal's entire online news site available at no cost.But, beginning Aug. 1, 2001, unrestricted access, except for the archives, will be available only to people who register as subscribers of the newspaper or who register as paid members of ABQjournal.com.

If you do not wish to subscribe to the Albuquerque Journal daily paper but would like access to ABQJournal.com, you may buy an online membership by clicking here. Membership grants full access to ABQJournal.com, including a limited search of archives on the ABQjournal.com Web site.
Nonmembers may still have free access to online classifieds, advertisements and headlines. But full-length stories and other valuable local information will be limited to subscribers of the newspaper and to subscriber-members of the Web site, which contains news that is substantially similar to the newspaper's content, plus Web-only features.
"Our Web site provides extra news and value to our print subscribers," said Tom Lang, publisher of the Albuquerque Journal. "But, with the ability to update frequently and personalize news, ABQjournal.com is also an efficient delivery system for viewers who prefer to read their local news online from anywhere in the world."
How do you become an ABQjournal.com member?
People who pay to have the daily Albuquerque Journal delivered to their office or home may automatically become members. These print subscribers may access ABQjournal with a user name and password assigned when registering.
If you choose not to subscribe to the newspaper, you still may register and pay an online fee for access to ABQjournal.com. Click here to register and pay.
"By making our Web site for members only, ABQjournal.com hopes to strengthen its bond to the printed newspaper and to deliver electronically the most comprehensive and best edited news reports from around the state," said Lang.
